Welcome to the home of TCCMMN.org

This is the home page of the Twin Cities Chapter of Minnesota Master Naturalists.

The Minnesota Master Naturalist Program (MMNP) is a joint effort of the University of Minnesota Extension and the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR).  It recieves funding support from the National Science Foundation (NSF), and educational support from the Bell Museum of Natural History.

The Twin Cities Chapter of Minnesota Master Naturalists is a Twin Cities metropolitan area-affiliated group chartered by the MMNP, and associated with Fort Snelling State Park.

Mission

The website of the Minnesota Master Naturalist program, includes the following mission statement:

The mission of the Minnesota Master Naturalist program is to promote awareness, understanding, and stewardship of Minnesota's natural environment by developing a corps of well-informed citizens dedicated to conservation education and service within their communities.

Our chapter had not yet formally adopted a mission statement, but we begin with the goal of

Providing a forum where like-minded individuals can continue to contribute to and learn more about the natural environment in which we live.
